Founded in 1907 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., ALTA is the national trade association and voice of more than 6,000 title insurance agents, abstracters* and underwriters are Active Members, ranging from small, one-county operations, to large national title insurers in the united states. ALTA is represented by an Active ALTA Member in every county in the United States.

The Florida Land Title Association has roots that extend back to 1914 when a group of title abstractors joined together to form an association dedicated to improving the practice and procedures of searching land titles. Incorporated in 1971 The Florida Land Title Association, Inc., is a non profit trade association that is still dedicated to serving the land title insuring industry by promoting shared goals of education, professionalism, ethical standards, and to effectively advocate member concerns.

In September 1977, a group of 14 businessmen saw the need to establish one effective voice that could speak for the residents and businessmen of the Palm Harbor area. The Greater Palm Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce, Inc. was formed to serve the areas of Palm Harbor, Crystal Beach, Ozona, and East Lake. From this nucleus of 14 businessmen, our partnership has grown to over 400 businesses.
